All About Elspeth

My name is Elspeth and I love all sorts of crafts. I teach Egg Craft hence the eggsasperated in my e-mail address. I’m now teaching the basics of parchment craft but really do consider myself a beginner with this subject. My other hobies include, jigsaws, cross stitch, stamping, and making Christmas decorations. As part of my teaching I run classes in the local area.

I only do jigsaws occassionally now as I find them so addictive. I like something a little different rather than the chocolate box type and am now collecting the Waddingtons Christmas Collection but unfortunately have never managed to buy the very first, maybe one day I’ll find a copy. One of my favourites is The Hobbit but as it is so did I think the next time will have to be the last.

Cross stitch is my most recent craft and I started doing it as I fell in love with a cross stitch design of an Elephant. I did manage it although some people thought it was too ambitious a project for a first attempt, others just kept encouraging me till it was completed. After I finished a friend gave me an even larger Elephant project, which is not finished but as yet I’ve not given up on it.

Since joining the paper crafts list ( http://www.onelist.com/subscribe/papercrafts/ ) I have also tried teabag folding and embroidery on card. It’s been great fun learning something new. Having done pin and thread work all those years ago I find the embroidery a lovely update to this craft. It just goes to show how ideas go round and round.
