Lace Cards

This is an exciting new hobby from Holland, used for decorating cards and pictures.

The Dutch seem to have a real knack for dramatic effects with simple techniques. Like Teabag folding Lace cards are simple to make but very effective. A sharp knife is used to cut a piece of paper (which is a different colour on each side) then sections of the paper are folded over and tucked under each other to produce the intricate finish.

Once you have stuck the paper onto a card finish with a eye-catching centre piece, in this case decoupaged flower fairies.
